 Shadowberry’s Briza

Color – Light Brown

ARI – 31702485

DOB – 3/3/09

Dam – RA Barbi-30897083

Sire – Silvercloud Farm’s Mint Cassini-1355840

She’s so fine--- with excellent  crimp and softness to her fleece. Her color is a beautiful light brown with black accents.  Briza has grown over her first year to be a large-framed sturdy girl and we expect her to be a larger than average adult female.  Personality-wise, she is the most outgoing of our animals and readily approaches humans—she is our “most huggable” alpaca.

Sire – RA Buckskin-816384

I call her the Belle of the Barn. This is one fantastic girl!  She is bright with outstanding staple length, coverage and soft handle.  It comes from great genetics as her sire continues to win blue ribbons and was Reserve Color Champion at the 2009 PAOBA Show at age 5.  This is what we all seek to breed for----alpacas who can maintain excellent fleece characteristics as they age.

She is, like her dam, very shy and quiet.  However, it’s the quiet ones you have to watch.  It took 2 days of frequent watching for me to discover how Belle was managing to escape from her panelled corral. She would notice me watching her and pretend that she wasn’t even interested in leaving the barn.  Then, as soon as I would turn my back, she would run outside and manage to get out of the corral into the larger pasture.

Shadowberry’s Bixa

 Color – Dark Fawn

ARI - 31702645

DOB – 5/19/09

Dam – Glenstone’s M-O-Lee-1237092

Sire – ZU Peruvian Molson -30021211

Bixa is a little cutie with the perkiest expression on her face.  This pure Peruvian beauty has very fine, very dense fleece with good coverage and soft handle.  She has a beautiful head and the cutest little topknot.

Bixa will approach the fence to attract a visitor’s attention, then when she is sure that she is noticed, she will kick up her heels and scamper away.  She does the same thing with our yearling males.  The little flirt!
